Yelapa (near Puerto Vallarta), Mexico
Ellen and Jocelyn invite you to join us for a week in paradise for partner yoga and the opportunity to give skilled touch to someone you love. Bring a friend, parent, child, spouse, sibling or lover – anyone with whom you’ll enjoy exploring these art forms.
Practicing yoga with your partner supports deeper, stronger poses and greater balance. Partner yoga takes us into the world of shared awareness. It requires that we dance in relationship to both self and the other. This dance of awareness heightens all of our senses, and supports the personal presence so helpful in learning the fine Art of Essential Touch.
Ellen and Joceyln will demonstrate the basics of Essential Touch, with an introduction to acupressure points for helping you and your partner release energy and resolve chronic tension patterns. Deeply influenced by the rhythms of the sea, this form of touch engages all the senses, and offers relaxation and restoration to both giver and receiver. (For more background on the instructors, please see the "Teachers" page of the MovingVentures website.)
The dynamics of partner yoga deepen the relationship that develops on the massage table. The practitioner gives and receives energy and weight, while paying exquisite attention to oneself and the partner.
CEU's available for bodyworkers and nurses.
